Frequently asked questions about DayAI

The questions massage shop owners ask us most. If yours is missing, message us on LINE @dayai. We reply in Thai and English.

What is DayAI?

DayAI is an all-in-one platform for Thai massage, spa and beauty businesses in Australia and New Zealand. Each shop gets an online booking website (yourshop.dayai.ai), a shop-management app called "DayAI Massage Manager" (iPhone, Android and web at https://app.dayai.ai) and Ploy, an AI receptionist who answers the shop phone in English 24/7. A separate restaurant version (Mali) lives at https://dayai.ai/restaurant.

Who is DayAI for?

Owners of Thai massage, spa and beauty shops in Australia and New Zealand who want a Thai-language system, a Thai-speaking team to set it up, and an AI receptionist for the calls they miss while their hands are busy. One- or two-person shops can stay on the free plan forever; growing shops add assistants as needed.

Who is Ploy?

Ploy is the DayAI assistant. On the phone she answers your calls in English 24 hours a day, checks real availability in your calendar, books the appointment, sends the customer an SMS confirmation and summarises every call to the owner on LINE in Thai. Owners also talk to Ploy on LINE to run the shop: check today’s bookings, change prices or update the shop website.

How much does DayAI cost?

Four plans, priced in Australian dollars including GST, per location per month, with unlimited staff and no contract: Free Forever A$0 (100 online bookings a month, no card, never expires) · DayAI Booking A$45 (unlimited online bookings and your own domain) · Messaging Assistant A$79 (500 SMS a month included) · Ploy AI Phone Receptionist A$149 (300 call minutes a month included). Full comparison at https://dayai.ai/en#pricing

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every paid plan comes with a 3-month free trial for the first 50 shops, no card required. If you decide not to continue, nothing is lost: the app simply stays on the Free Forever plan, which never expires.

We use Fresha. Do we have to switch, or can we run both?

You can run both. DayAI syncs each therapist’s Fresha calendar to block those times, and pushes DayAI bookings back so Fresha sees them, which prevents double bookings (Fresha’s calendar sync can lag up to 15 minutes). Many shops trial DayAI alongside Fresha first. See the comparison at https://dayai.ai/en/compare/fresha

Does DayAI work outside Australia?

The shop app and the online booking website work anywhere and support AUD, NZD, GBP, EUR, USD, THB. Customer SMS and Ploy’s phone line currently support Australian and New Zealand numbers. Shops in other countries are welcome to message us on LINE @dayai first.

Do my customers need to download an app?

No. Customers book on your shop website (yourshop.dayai.ai/book) or by scanning the QR code at the front desk. They receive an SMS confirmation and a reminder before the appointment (Messaging Assistant plan and above) and can cancel from the link in the message.

Which languages does DayAI support?

The app and back office are available in Thai and English. Ploy answers customer calls in English. Owners chat with the DayAI team and give Ploy instructions on LINE in Thai.
